In the II planning cycle (2016-2021), FHM and FRM prepared in the first cycle were reviewed and updated in justified cases. New flood hazard maps and flood risk maps were also prepared for the areas and types of floods identified as a result of the review and update of the preliminary flood risk assessment (PFRA) completed in 2018.
Flood hazard maps (FHM) and flood risk maps (FRM), in accordance with Art. 171 sec. 8 of the Water Law Act and Art. 14 of Directive 2007/60 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on the assessment and management of flood risks (Floods Directive), are subject to review and, if necessary, updated in 6-year cycles, in connection with the need to assess changes flood risk and the need to plan and implement measures to reduce the negative consequences of floods for human health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activity.
